Christmas Parade Sponsors
It’s time for a wonderful change, in how the Christmas Parade Committee serves our parade going participants and spectators as well as our Sponsors! We are very proud to announce that for the first time in the history of our local parade we will have “Christmas Square” Marketplaces that will provide our favorite event type foods and refreshments. These locations will also serve as parade spectator drop-off locations for the “Spirit of Christmas” activities that are to be scheduled. Refer to Maps on our website for our Marketplace locations. They are included on the Public Information, Hospitality, and Parade Broadcast maps. We will update information on Marketplace locations as needed.
Our “Grand Title” Sponsors are invited to place a 10x20 booth at our various Marketplace locations for your company give-a-ways. Our “Premier Title” and “Premier” Sponsor levels are invited to place a 10x10 booth at one of our various Marketplace locations for your company give-a-ways.
To participate in our sponsor activities, submit a completed Sponsor Information Form to our committee to reserve your space! Please indicate your appropriate give-a-way by checking the appropriate box on the form.
Our Sponsor Product tasting programs are designed to allow sponsors to have a free food sampling booth or free soft drink tasting booth; however, all booths must have the prior approval of the Christmas Parade Committee. No alcoholic beverages shall be served at any time! No free food samples containing peanut products will be allowed. All food or drink sampling products shall be appropriates for children under the age of 18. Please, retain a copy of the Rules and Regulations.
Sponsors with only material give-a-ways (no food products) will be required to provide a proof of their Business License and Event Insurance coverage to the Christmas Parade Committee. Sponsor Product tasting programs booths will must provide a copy of your current Business License, Health Permit, Retail Sales Permit (if required), and proof of Event Insurance coverage. We will begin accepting Sponsor Information Forms for booth space reservations starting on September 15, 2009. The deadline for submittals will be Monday, November 2, 2009 at 5:00 pm.
Sponsor space reservation(s) at our Marketplace(s) will be assigned by our Vendor Coordinator. When all of the necessary details have been confirmed, our Vendor Coordinator will provide sponsors with pertinent information; hopefully, no later then November 17, 2009.
Sponsors located outside of Bakersfield will be required to obtain a temporary Business License from the City of Bakersfield. The phone number to call is 661-326-3093. If you are a Food Product Sponsor you will also need to call the Kern County Environmental Health for a Health Permit. The phone number to call is 661-862-8700.
The layout and placement/location of all Vendor/Sponsor booths at the various Marketplace locations shall be at the sole discretion of the Christmas Parade Committee.
