Vendor Selection
It’s time for a wonderful change, in how the Christmas Parade Committee serves our parade going participants and spectators! We are very proud to announce that for the first time in the history of our local parade we will have “Christmas Square” locations that will provide our favorite event type foods and refreshments. Refer to Maps on our website for our Marketplace locations. They are included in Public Information, Hospitality, and Parade Broadcast maps. There will be no other Vendor’s at the Fox Theater location, sorry. We will update information on locations as needed.
We are limited on spaces this year, so if this information is of interest to you act quickly! Only two sizes of spaces are offered, please review our Vendor Application and the Rules and Regulations. Acceptance of your application as a Vendor may depend on the availability of pre-determined space for such an entry. Such availability is left to the discretion of our parade committee.
If your organization or business is interested in becoming an “Official” Christmas Parade Vendor, we have an application ready for you to fill out here on our website. Please, complete your application along with payment of the proper fee, and include a copy of your current Business License, Health Permit, Retail Sales Permit (if required), and Event Insurance. Our parade committee will not be able to consider your application if it’s not completed.
We will begin accepting Vendor Applications on September 15, 2009 and the deadline will be Monday, November 2, 2009 by 5:00 p.m. If your application is selected a notice will be sent by e-mail, fax, or mail no later then November 11, 2009.
If selected your vending placement location at our Marketplace(s) will be assigned by our Vendor Coordinator. When all information is made final our Vendor Coordinator will then make all notifications to your organization or business no later then November 17, 2009.
If your organization or business is from out side of Bakersfield you will need to obtain a temporary Business License. The phone number to call is 661-326-3093. You will also need to call the Kern County Environmental Health for a Health Permit. The phone number to call is 661-862-8700.
Our parade committee reserves the right of placement of all Vendors, any Comp’s and of our Christmas Parade Sponsor booths at the various Marketplace locations.
