Welcome to the Bakersfield Christmas Parade. The theme for this year's parade is “Once Upon a Christmas”.  Everyone is invited to participate and join the fun of this traditional holiday parade.

The Bakersfield Christmas Parade will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2009.  The parade will be televised “Live” by KERO Channel 23 and Channel 42 Azteca America.  Come and join the more than 20,000 expected to celebrate at this year’s parade and share in the “Spirit of Christmas”. Bands, floats, dancers to horse drawn entries and community groups, and even Santa himself will spread cheer and joy to all in sight.  Enjoy the magic, wonder and excitement of the Christmas season in a moving, magical panorama of lights, color and music. This unique free community event inspires delight and wonder for the young and young at heart!

 Enter your organization or business in the 2009 Bakersfield Christmas Parade!  It’s easy, just download the selected Entry Form, type in your information, print, sign and date, include the proper insurance papers along with payment of appropriate fee.  The entry fees are $50.00 for a Standard Entry and $150.00 for Commercial Entries.  The entry fee is waived for school entries.  Entries will be accepted beginning Tuesday, September 15, 2009.  Entry deadline will be Monday, November 2, 2009 by 5:00 pm. The Bakersfield Christmas Parade will select 95 parade units this year!
